Veisiejai Cultural House folk music band „Veisieja“ was created in 1975. It consists of 9 members. The band participates in the events in their own town, district and Republic: in traditional Lazdijai district folk music band festival-contest „Netgi vakaruškos“, the festival „Jievaro turtai 2007″ in Alytus, „Dzūkų dienos“ in Vilnius and many other events.

The band has had the concerts in the Republic of Poland in Melnik city festival, they are also frequent visitors in Punsk.

In 2008 Dzūkija region folk music band festival-contest „Grok, Jurgeli“ the band has been the winner and received the right to participate in the final concert „Grok, Jurgeli’ 2008“.
